So, the question we get asked more than any other at the shop: “Do you guys have any Able Carry?”
Usually the answer is “a little.” From November 20 to 22, it's going to be a lot.
How this came about
We've worked with Able Carry for a while now, and at some point it stopped being just orders and restocks. We became friends, the kind where you catch up about how business is going, not just what's on the next PO.
A while back they mentioned they had a pile of bags sitting in their Texas warehouse. Returns, older runs, stuff that couldn't go back on their site. And we had a shop full of people asking for Able Carry. So we figured, why not bring it all to Greenpoint?
What's coming
Able Carry's team checked every bag, and they all work like they should. There'll be backpacks like the Max EDC, Max Backpack, Daily Plus and Thirteen Daybag, plus some slings and pouches. We don't have huge quantities of anything, so when it's gone, it's gone.
Everything falls into one of two groups:
| Like New | Reworked, with all tags and the dust bag. 10 to 40% off, depending on the model. Current models start at 10% off; older and discontinued styles go deeper. |
| Outlet | Fully working, but missing tags or the dust bag, and may show light signs of use like minor creases. 20 to 50% off. |
We'll have bins sorted by discount, so you'll know the price as soon as you pick something up. Honestly, neither of us really does sales, so this one's a bit of a rare thing.
How the weekend works
We're open 1 to 7pm, Friday through Sunday. The shop's small, so we'll keep it to about 10 people inside at once. If there's a line, it moves, and you might end up talking bags with whoever's next to you.
Carry Club folks, Friday 12 to 1 is yours. You get first pick, and our friends at Onyx are bringing drinks for that hour. We'll post how to RSVP soon.
It's all in store, so there are no online orders and we can't hold anything. If something's caught your eye, come see it in person.
Black Friday weekend
Whatever's left will still be around for Black Friday weekend, November 27 to 29, along with the rest of our Black Friday stuff. Fair warning though, it'll be leftovers by then. If you want the best pick, come the first weekend. After the 29th, everything goes back to the warehouse.
