Maya is originally from the US and now lived in Japan for 4-5 years. She models, side gigs, designs, has her own paper lantern business, and now has co-founded Karbon with Steph and Stephie. 

Steph is an illustrator originally from Australia and now in Japan. Originally worked in design for a company until she moved on to working for herself freelance. Now she has partnered up with Maya and Stephie to create Karbon.
